Raising Boys Without Men
How single moms are successfully raising sons
The Living Room
1485 Teaneck Road
Teaneck, New Jersey
Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at 6:30 pm
Research psychologist and former Stanford University gender scholar Peggy Drexler, PhD, will share the results of her long-term, groundbreaking study comparing boys from female-headed households with those raised in traditional mom-and-dad families detailed in her newly published book, Raising Boys Without Men. Her research reveals that raising thriving, emotionally healthy, and masculine sons does not require a man in the house.
Dr. Drexler's discoveries will be informative, comforting, and encouraging for all single parents out there. The mothers and sons discussed in this book offer us the opportunity to rethink and reshape our community of caring. Kindly join us as Dr. Drexler provides suggestions on single-parenting and reassuring advice on raising boys. You will leave this talk with a hopeful outlook and a free autographed copy of Dr. Drexler's book!
Space is limited; please RSVP as soon as possible. Child care is available. Call Laura at 201-837-9090 OR send an e-mail to email@example.com.
