Dear FOS11 Member,

As air travelers, we can relate to the experience of waiting in lines at airports. We are used to seeing screeners, whose technical titles are Transportation Security Officers (TSO’s). They guide us through the security process and work to keep us safe and secure everyday. Have you ever wanted to speak to Transportation Security Officers, to thank them or tell them you supported them in their mission, but felt unsure if it was appropriate to do so? Now here is your chance.

Families of September 11, in partnership with Transportation Security Administration and The Camilla Group is offering you a unique opportunity to participate in a volunteer speakers program. There will be a speaking event at Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Hartford, CT on Wednesday, February 27 with one session at 11:00AM and another session at 12:15PM. If you would like to be a part of this program, email info@familiesofseptember11org. If you decide to volunteer, you will work closely with FOS11 staff. We will assist your preparation for the event and offer talking points and training to help you tell your story. We invite you to join us and participate in this program!

To date, these events have been attended by over 500 TSA personnel in Washington DC, Miami, FL, New Orleans, LA, Baltimore, MD, Boston, MA, Orlando, FL, Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, Birmingham, AL, Reston, VA, New York, NY, Indianapolis, IN, Little Rock, AR, Las Vegas, NV, Salt Lake City, UT and Denver, CO.
