World Trade Center Run to Remember
on Governors Island
We are pleased to announce that Families of September 11 is participating in the third annual World Trade Center Run to Remember on Sunday, September 4, 2011 on Governors Island in New York City. The Run to Remember Foundation, Inc., is coordinating this 5K Run/Walk to honor the memories of all 9/11 victims while raising funds for and awareness of several 9/11 organizations including FOS11.
Please join us on Sunday, September 4, 2011. There are several ways to participate:
Sign Up for the Race
We are seeking people who will run/walk in the race on behalf of Families of September 11. There is a $25 entry fee ($35 after August 25th). Register online at: http://www.wtcruntoremember.com/reg.htm select a fundraising goal, and ask your friends and family to support your efforts. Please remember that all donations made on behalf of Families of September 11 help us to continue serving you and assisting all those affected by the tragedy of September 11.

If you can't join us that day, support a runner who is racing on behalf of Families of September 11, by going to the www.wtcruntoremember.com
If you're not sure who will be in the race, you can always pick our Executive Director, Anastasia Holmes, or Program Consultant, Brian Richardson, in the list of participants.

The Run to Remember promises to be an inspiring event. It will offer families an opportunity to come together to celebrate the lives of those lost on September 11, 2001. Governors Island is a unique and beautiful area in New York Harbor with wonderful views of the Statue of Liberty. With more than five miles of car-free biking, acres of green space for picnics, art exhibitions, performances, and much more, Governors Island has something for everyone to enjoy. The ferry ride to the island is free.
