Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund
http://www.semperfifund.org/
Today more than 174,000 active duty and 37,000 reserve Marines protect the United States of America, bravely serving our nation in hotbeds of violence like Iraq and Afghanistan. Their dedication often has a price. Department of Defense statistics indicate 1,854 Marines were wounded in Operation Iraqi Freedom from March 19, 2003 through September 4, 2004. While the Marine Corps goes above and beyond to support Marines and their families, there are limits to the amount of funding available. The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund was formed to provide supplemental assistance to our Marines, sailors, and their families as they face their road to recovery.

Please help support our Marines and sailors. The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible. The IMSFF is a volunteer-run organization.
To support the fund, please send donations to:

Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund
825 College Blvd Suite 102
PMB 609
Oceanside, CA 92057 Please make checks payable to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.

One Day's Pay
http://www.onedayspay.org
This nonprofit grassroots movement seeks to establish 9/11 as a voluntary day of service, charity and compassion. Join thousands of others who are taking the One Day's Pay pledge to observe 9/11 this year by helping others in need -- volunteer, give blood, make a donation to a charity, give something away, or just help friend, neighbor or relative. It's entirely up to you.

Operation Homefront Hugs
http://homefronthugs.com/
Send a care package to a soldier this holiday season.
Homefront Hugs USA is a nonprofit group here for our troops, families and veterans who have served our country with honor and helped us all preserve our freedoms. All Americans are invited to adopt a deployed soldier or family dealing with a long deployment. Participants can sign up to send a care package, and will be provided a list of practical items and the most-requested stress-relief items. Additionally, if you know any soldier who needs care packages, please contact Homefront Hugs in order to match them with a volunteer.

Our Voices Together - Build a Safer, More Compassionate World Forums at Universities
September 2006
For the fifth anniversary of September 11, 2001, the new non-partisan, non-profit group Our Voices Together, formed by September 11th family and friends, is working to recall that goodwill as part of a comprehensive approach to counter-terrorism through global engagement and positive works. They seek to engage universities in organizing Build a Safer, More Compassionate World forums on their campuses on/around September 11, 2006 . These forums will highlight actions at the individual and international levels that help build a safer, more compassionate world and foster discussion of a comprehensive U.S. strategy to counter terrorism that, as the 9/11 Commission Report recommended, “includes economic policies that encourage development, more open societies, and opportunities for people to improve the lives of their families and to enhance prospects for their children’s future.” Events may include panel discussions with scholars and family members, voluntary service opportunities as part of One Day’s Pay campaign, as well as a fair or expo showcasing study and travel abroad opportunities in the developing world, courses and seminars on international issues, foreign student center activities, global social entrepreneurship programs, etc. Students and others will be encouraged to build international understanding through scholarship, international exchange, and voluntary service with an international focus. Our Voices Together invites family members and friends to join in this effort. Please contact them about an opportunity to participate in a forum at your alma mater, that of your loved one, or at a university in your current community. Please see www.ourvoicestogether.org or contact Marianne Scott, Executive Director, Our Voices Together, via email at marianne@ourvoicestogether.org. Additional information is provided at the link below.
